Job # 74054 - Sodexo is seeking a General Manager (III) of Dining Services for Magnolia Manor in Columbus, Georgia. This is a 160 Resident Retirement Community with memory care and assisted living. Columbus is in west central Georgia, 100 miles southwest of Atlanta, on the Chattahoochee River directly across from Phenix City, Alabama.

In this role, you manage all dining venues, a budget of 2.5 million, a food production manager, 2 Clinical Dietitians, 20 hourly employees, Sodexo systems and standards, the HACCP and Safety Programs for regulatory compliance, and the employee training programs. You also participation in food committee meetings to engage residents on feedback for service enhancements and work collaboratively with fellow department heads on service outcomes. Critical success skills for this position; professional leadership abilities and skills to enhance customer service outcomes.

Your Skills Checklist for this position:

Some College / Trade School Certificate, Servsafe Certificate

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) / enrolled in a program

Food Service Director experience

Financial skills for 2.5 million in volume

Exp. managing managers who oversee hourly employees

Well versed in HACCP standards for regulatory compliance

Food production & menu planning experience

Relationship building; Client & Resident Satisfaction

Experience in Senior Living / Long Term Care is ideal!

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client accountProvides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.Key Duties- Provides team leadership & training- Controls unit financials- Directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards- Supervises day to day activities - Delegates authority- Assigns & prioritizes activities- Monitors operating standards- Establishes a safe work environment- Support workplace inclusion activities

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree Basic Management Experience - 3 years Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
