Internship - Internal Audit

Position Summary:

The Internal Audit Intern will support the Internal Audit team by providing assistance with documentation, testing and administrative activities to help promote SOX compliance and execute internal audits.

Essential Functions:

1. Assist IA personnel perform SOX duties:

a. Issue, track and manage SOX document requests

b. Document walkthrough testing

c. Execute business process control testing

d. Execute report testing procedures

2. Assist IA personnel execute field audits to determine if procurement procedures were appropriately adhered to

3. Assist IA personnel test the Company's ERP Implementation procedures to determine if controls are operating as designed

4. Aggregate peer-group risk factors as listed in annual filings; compare and contrast to COPT's

5. Obtain and assess COPT data associated with equipment contracts, life-safety assets and preventative maintenance

6. Other duties as assigned


* Rising junior or senior who is majoring in Accounting preferred.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and ability to learn company specific software.

* Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal and communication skills required.

* Must be able to comprehend business transactions and documents.
