JRSS - Cyber Security Engineer (Government)

AT&T is seeking Cyber Security Engineers with firewall experience to join our GSM-O team at Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) located at Scott AFB, IL.

DISA is partnering with the U.S. Army and Air Force to fundamentally change the way the Department of Defense (DoD) secures and protects its information networks by deploying Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS). Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS) are designed for security of the network to be centralized into regional architectures instead of locally distributed architectures at each military base, post, camp or station. This position directly supports the DISA-provided JRSS capabilities and services as a member of our Tier team. We work in a performance-based environment where our performance is based on pre-determined Service Level Agreements (SLA) or Acceptable Levels of Performance (ALP).

Primary Responsibilities:

* Orchestrate the project end-to-end from a Firewall Security Prospective; Analyzes Firewall Security discovery information and determines requirements for the migration

* Provide Firewall gap analysis at the start of the project; Directs team members and reviews results. De-conflicts inconsistencies between engineering implementation plans (EIPs ) and directs changes to EIP author

* Maintain current network diagram for COI/Base (end-to-end)

* Control all variables and allocations e.g. IP Addresses, Firewall configurations, VRFs, shims, process IDs, etc.

* Identify and communicate firewall security requirements to Tools and CND teams. This includes acceptable deadlines tracked by PM

* Track task status against ASI schedule and adjusts implementations as required.

Additional Information:

Required Experience, Education, and Certifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.

* Ability to work independently

* In-depth protocol analysis, with tools such as tcpdump.

* Experience in leading large engineering projects.

* Leadership skills in organizing a team of engineers

* DoD 8570 Level 2 IAT or equivalent (Security+ CE)

Desired Experience, Education, and Certifications:

* CISCO or Juniper Certifications

* ITIL v3 Foundation certified

* Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.

* Familiarization of DOD regulations and directives.

* F5 load balancers

* Palo Alto Firewalls

* Cisco ASA Firewalls

* Standup of Remote access Virtual Private Networks (RAVPN)

* JRSS familiarity
