The Facilities Maintenance Tech I under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Lead, with guidance and/or working with Facilities Maintenance Technicians II and III will competently perform preventive maintenance, inspections, installations and repairs on all assigned equipment to ensure their proper operation and function. It is the responsibility of the Tech to maintain all records, such as work orders, and necessary reports to ensure accurate recording of activities for code and regulatory purposes. Processes work requests and turn in completed work requests in a timely and professional manner.
The Facilities Maintenance Tech I maintains all tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order, ensures an adequate inventory of related parts to perform assigned duties and is up to date on technical skills and required certifications to perform job duties. The tech must adhere to all safety requirements; wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment required by the job, and respond to emergency situations to ensure employee, patient and facility safety.
The Facilities Maintenance Tech I champions overall safety in the department, reports possible safety issues and recommends appropriate changes, and complies with OSHA, and other local, state and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate for the Facilities Maintenance Tech I role is one who is self-directed, holds themselves and others accountable, works well with a team or independently and has the ability to perform multiple duties as assigned per departmental needs.
