ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital has been providing high-quality health care services to the Branch County community since 1939. Located in Coldwater, Michigan, ProMedica Coldwater has 71 acute medical beds and 16 adult psychiatric beds to care for patients and their families.
Assumes delegated operational responsibility for the Emergency Departments at Coldwater Hospital. Plans, coordinates, and evaluates patient care delivery considering age-specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs of patients. Promotes the ENA standards of care according to department philosophy and goals and/or unit guidelines. Serves as a positive role model for professional nursing practice to the staff in the emergency department.
Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing
Skills: Must be able to read and speak the English language. Must have excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. Must have proven leadership skills (i.e. Charge RN, committee participation, and team leading) and conflict resolution skills. Must be able to work effectively in a team based environment, with interpersonal and group process skills necessary to provide effective leadership to assigned staff. Must be able to interact successfully with all levels of hospital personnel, and deal courteously with the public, medical staff, and external agency representatives. Must be highly flexible in a climate of varying situations, be able to deal effectively with a changing environment and be open to new ideas. Must have ability to use desktop computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheet, and email. Must demonstrate unit designated competencies. Must demonstrate awareness of resources for problem solving, and have ability to pay close attention to detail.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years staff experience, one of which is in the related practice area. Experience in a leadership role required.
License: Current Michigan RN license
Certification: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
