This Environmental Health & Safety professional will lead, direct, and support the Environmental Health & Safety initiatives to ensure a culture where safety and reduction of risk is a priority. If selected, the candidate will provide leadership and direction for EHS programs at the site and promote a proactive Environmental Health & Safety culture. The candidate will also assure compliance with all federal, state and local health and Environmental Health & Safety regulations, as well as, company Environmental Health & Safety policies. You will assist with site-wide programs to eliminate ergonomic hazards and reduce injuries, illnesses and near misses. This may include all of the following program elements:

* Analyze Injury & Illness Data to identify trends.

* Conduct Risk Assessment Evaluations to define means to eliminate identified ergonomic hazards.

* Implement ergonomic best practice sharing.

* Develop ergonomic leadership within departments.

* Train Front Line Leaders and Ergonomic Technicians in ergonomics.

* Work with salary and hourly leadership to increase the awareness of safety and ergonomic risks.

* Assist with site-wide high-risk programs to eliminate hazards and reduce injuries, illnesses and near misses. This may include all of the following program areas: Confined Space, Hot Work, Lock-Out, Tag-Out, Mechanical Power Presses, Machine Guarding, Cranes / Lifting & Rigging, Elevated Work, Fire Protection System Inspections & Controls

* Respond to plant emergencies.

* Attend various daily/weekly/monthly meetings, including those with the safety team.

* Seek out and implement opportunities to create a mean shift reduction in incident rates.

* Provide positive coaching to employees including developing and conducting effective EHS training.

* Respond promptly to employee issues and inquiries on health and safety issues.

* Support Operations as they conduct accident and near-miss investigations in cooperation with company health center; work with safety teams and plant leadership to implement corrective action plans.

* Provide input and leadership to meet a goal of zero injuries to our employees.

* Work to identify continuous improvement opportunities throughout the plant.

* Expand the proactive EHS culture at the Clyde Division

* Ensure regulatory compliance.

* Create and update safety reports and documentation as required.

* Drive the facility to obtain the status of a world-class EHS organization.

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's degree required. Prefer Ergonomics, Safety, Health, and Environmental, Physiology or other relevant major areas of study.

* 2-years of leadership experience within a large manufacturing organization

* Ability to work extended hours or flex to any of the 3 shifts, as needed.

Preferred Requirements

* Broad problem-solving capabilities, along with proven ability to lead best practice implementations

* Ability to lead and work with cross-functional indirect teams.

* Experience with World Class Manufacturing Safety Pillar is a plus.

* Proven ability for strategic thinking and working independently.

* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* Excellent communication skills

* An understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.

* Possess a strong character and high level of integrity
