We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and experienced Long Term Substitute Science Teacher for our school in Clifton Heights for the 2019-2020 Academic School Year. This is a temporary assignment.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting.
- Monitor student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods. Observe and record student progress daily.
- Develop and monitor student's IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP.
- Manage student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.

Bachelor's level degree in Special Education, certification in Special Education is required. General Science K-12 Certificate required. Content area certifications preferred. Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting is highly desirable.
