The Professional Apprentice® position is located in downtown Cleveland at our Corporate Headquarters. Position requires full year enlistment and a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week up to 28 hours per week.

The Oracle Applications Developer Professional Apprentice®serves as a liaison between IT and business clients. Works with the customer to conduct business process modeling and perform coding with in Oracle, analyze system requirements, and work on code changes for any new projects or change requests to existing software. Collaborates with functional team to ensure they understand the specifications, document system scenarios, and to help develop a change management/training plan.

Essential Functions

Strategy & Planning

* Analyze, document, and recommend improvements to existing workflows, processes, and standards.

Acquisition & Deployment

* Assist in gathering requirements, analyzes and peform Coding ,creates design documents, and performs impact analysis for application changes.

* Review the defects assigned,peform code changes as required and work on the enhancements by coordinating with the functional team.

Operational Management

* Create and maintain system documentation.

* Work with existing systems to track and manage production issues.

* Track client issues and problems, and work with others when necessary to provide a resolution.

* Support data needs of the business by daily support of one or more Global ERP sub-systems.

Incidental Functions

* Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.

* Minimal travel if required

* Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour workday may be required.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

* Currently enrolled in college degree program and actively working toward a Bachelor or Master Degree in related field.

* Graduation date on or after May 2019

* GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Knowledge & Experience

* Basic IT knowledge and aptitude to gain technical skills quickly.

* Knowledge of software development and support metholologies.

Any and/or combination of the following skills helpful, but not required:

* Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (Preferably Oracle E-Business Suite).

* Project management tools to control software development phases (MS Project, etc.).

* Prior experience in Oracle Financial Modules..Prior experience in coding and software fitment/solutions.

* Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

* Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
