Responsibilities

* Serves as senior analyst for field level financial management systems with responsibility for systematic, comprehensive evaluations of software and related managerial products.

* Develops processes of retrieving, compiling and analyzing financial data from multiple sources.

* Coordinates the conversion of text and print files into database files.

* Provides training, advice, and assistance to other team members on procedures, system operations, and functional/technical requirements.

* Coordinates with team members, user representatives, and proponent agents on final recommendations to management on the subsequent compilation and review of data.

* Coordinates with external agencies/offices and internal offices in the development of PC based interfaces and valid requirements, providing technical advice, gaining cooperation, and resolving problems resulting from the conversion of data.

* Ensures that systems designs provide capacity for conducting and maintaining effective internal controls.

* This position is being filled under Direct-Hire Authority for Financial Management Experts.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Developing processes for retrieving, compiling and analyzing data from multiple source systems; converting data, files and reports into proper format for database files and tables; analyzing data from multiple programs to ensure reporting requirements are met; ensuring systems designs provide capacity for conducting and maintaining internal controls; and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite products.
