Technology Sales Specialist to Sell 3D Design and 3D Printing Solutions!

We are currently looking to expand our excellent sales team and as such, are looking for a highly motivated Technology Sales Specialist to sell engineering software solutions, trainings, and assist our outside sales team in selling 3D printers. No worries if you do not have 3D Printer or technology sales experience, we will train you to learn all you need to know about these state-of-the-art 3D printers and software! Additionally, this position reports directly into our extremely talented Vice-President of Sales, who has been named one of the top 20 sales people in the world and will guide and mentor you throughout your career to help you become as successful as he is!

You will choose which office you would like to work in - Lancaster, PA office or Clark, NJ office.


Your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to), determining customer's needs and providing class-leading solutions to improve the customer's design efficiency. You will generate and process leads via phone and email to win purchase orders, with the goal of meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual team sales goals of 3D CAD and related software solutions, training and services, and 3D Printing solutions. In order to do this, you will maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities and manage them effectively.

Additionally, you will work with and be trained and mentored by a great sales team, many of whom are being recognized for numerous accolades and awards on a regular basis! Team members from our Partners (3D Systems and SolidWorks) are also involved in your training and development in an effort to help you ramp up as quickly as possible, which will lead to your success at DesignPoint.

Along with our other sales team members, you will be supporting company events, meetings, rollouts and trade shows, which will involve local travel to our DesignPoint offices, as well as to customer's sites.

* A strong desire for a career in sales is required. 1+ year successful sales experience is preferred. (Manufacturing, engineering or recruiting industry experience is a plus, but not necessary)

* Bachelor's degree (business, technology or equivalent) is preferred

* Aptitude for driving measurable, sustainable sales results through demonstrating strong sales skills, presentation and closing skills while maintaining excellent customer relations

* Excellent computer skills. Proficiency with MS Office and CRM software is a plus

* Superior planning & organizational skills, as well as negotiation, account management, follow-up, and time management skills

* Outstanding oral and written communication skills are essential for success in this position, as well as excellent relationship-building skills

* A fantastic attitude and a hunter mentality

* Valid driver's license is required


If you have familiarity with connecting and social site usage, that is certainly a plus. Confidence with discovery research and cold calling is ideal as well.
