Sr Analyst -Supply Planning

Job Summary: Supports domestic and affiliate activity to optimize the service level and inventory both domestically and internationally. Accountable for managing affiliate orders through anticipating and reacting to their needs (production plan, information and shipments).

Key Job Accountabilities:

* Accountable for the overall results for the supply to the Countries they support

* Product availability and risk communication on new launches, on-going products and end of life to domestic and international customers

* Monthly Planning cycle – challenge and ensure the quality of demand from the affiliates and orders passed to plant.

* Backorder and Service cuts follow up with plant and customers

* Work with plant to reduce blocked horizon in order to increase reactivity

* Solicit Demand Uncertainty Input from Markets to input to safety stock levels

* Challenge the input to new launches (demands, language groups, batch size, etc.) by review of Marketing Brief and Launch Agreement forms in order to avoid creation of excess

* Prevent excess for on-going products by monthly review of productions yielding excess and potential batch size reduction or discontinuation

* Minimize Future Obsoletes at time of restage (run-out analyses)

* End of Life communication and coordination with international markets and the DMI

* Leads international catalogue rationalization efforts

* Master Data Maintenance in SAP

* Validate/Challenge Industrial Logistics action plan to ensure the optimization of service & inventory

* Level of responsibility will grow with the individual's experience level

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or a Business related field

* 1-3 years of Supply Chain experience

* Ability to be work independently in a very flat, entrepreneurial-minded division with minimal hierarchy

* Good understanding of L'Oreal Supply Chain, Launch process, distribution network

* Strong PC skills, advanced Excel skills; ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data

* Prior SAP Experience Preferred

* Create and interpret stock equations, forecast pyramids, excess calculations

* Strong analytical skills to evaluate root cause analysis

* Prior supervisor/management experience is preferred

* Level of experience is differentiated by an individual's experience level and the scope and complexity of the business unit
