The Project Engineering Intern plays a role in supporting the Project Manager though all project phases from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring & controlling, and closure.

Project Engineering Interns report to the Project Manager for the Projects they are assigned to.



Key requirements and duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

* PE Intern works with meeting the project contract requirements within a defined quality program. The PE Intern will operate in accordance with VIGORs Nuclear PM Guideline, and assist in:

* Detailing/Design Planning

* Fabrication Planning

* Execution and control of:

* Translation of contract requirements into VIGOR working documents, such as;

* Production control & procedures

* Purchase orders,

* Receiving instructions,

* Supplier management

* Shop issue resolutions

* EVMS Reporting

* PE Intern supports the Project Manager in monitoring and controlling performance and collaborating in making course corrections where necessary to meet project schedule, cost, quality, safety and corporate goals


* None required for the Internship, but candidates should be working towards or have interest in an Engineering Degree with focus in industrial or mechanical disciplines.


Internship; typically less than 1 year experience in this role or diploma in progress. Requires substantial oversight, guidance, and verification of outputs in fulfilling the roles responsibilities.

* Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

* Excellent communication skills for use across the spectrum from craftsmen to management


Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced office setting. The person may be required to be in production areas at times. He/she must be able to walk to and from job sites.
