  • Identifies new categories, products and services opportunities by researching developments in the IT industry and adjacent industries, researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, and other sources of information about up and coming products, suppliers and technologies.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; developing onboarding procedures, processes and internal business requirements.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new categories, products and services with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals and how those stack up to our needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Development, International Business, Finance or related field; Masters preferred.
  • 15+ years in business development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Experience in global strategy and/or working with international companies preferably in IT and Consumer Electronics industry
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to implementation
  • Must have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to close deals
  • High-energy with a 'roll up your sleeves' attitude, entrepreneurial spirit combined with a disciplined, analytical approach based on facts and data
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals
  • Experience identifying, researching and building business with new and emerging manufacturers, categories and products
