As part of the infrastructure team, you will create value by making sound choices about which technologies to use and how to integrate them in the enterprise. You'll have the opportunity to bring together hardware, software, and support to provide the right combination of cost, resiliency, and features for the solution. You'll also engage with the lines of business and other IT professionals to identify sources of value, agree on priorities, and measure not only the cost, but also the impact of infrastructure resulting in large-scale analytics, speed to market, customer experience, and associate productivity.
Essential Job Functions
*Responds to client incidents and requests using the corporate ticketing system.
*Performs complex troubleshooting tasks with little guidance of senior team members and/or documentation.
*Performs complex requested tasks with little guidance of senior team members and/or documentation
*Provides timely assistance to internal clients with a focus on customer service.
*Continuously strives to learn and understand existing technology and processes.
*Performs complex hardware and software maintenance tasks with little guidance of senior team members and/or documentation.
*Responds to system alerts with little guidance of senior team members and/or documentation.
*Escalates issues and requests with our technology partners and manufacturers.
*Monitors system logs for anomalies and resolves complex issues with little guidance of senior team members and/or documentation.
*Contributes to the documentation of procedures and guidelines for internal team use.
*Performs complex hardware and software updates with little guidance of senior team members and/or documentation.
*Contributes to the tuning of system configurations for redundancy, performance, security, and data protection.
*Responds to alerts and emergency calls during and outside of normal business hours.
*Will have responsibilities as a Subject Matter Expert over one or more technologies or processes.
*Attends architecture reviews in order to contribute to the technical direction
*Contributes to the annual budget process by documenting technical justification for items aligning to the IT roadmap and general review of budget baselines.
*Works closely with the Audit and Security teams to address outstanding items and prioritize remediation tasks.
*Act as a technical project manager to coordinate simple and/or short duration initiatives.
*4+ years of professional experience in the Information Technologies
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
*Hypervisor technology (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.)
*Automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, etc.)
*System Management (MS System Center Suite)
*Operating System configuration (Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, etc.)
*Enterprise storage management (NetApp, EMC, etc.)
