POSITION TITLE: Lead Network Administrator

LOCATION: Various Dover Sites

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Network Administrator's role is to support and ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video and wireless network services. This is achieved by supporting local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will work closely with the end-user community, IT cohorts and the Manager, Network and Telecom Tower to provide IT support services to Dover Corporation and its subsidiaries. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Perform network support operations solving significant incident, problem tickets as well as resolving service requests.

* Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

* Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.

* Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.

* Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.

* Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

* Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

* Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

* Participate in managing all network security solutions.

* Provide guidance to junior members of the team.

* Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and best practices defined and governed by the Network and Telecommunications functional tower.

* Collaborate with the functional towers for incident escalation, resolution and problem management.

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field of study).

* 3-8 years of IT networking support experience, preferably in manufacturing industry.

* CCNA certification preferred.

* Required core competencies – Cisco firewalls, routers, switches and WLAN.

* Ability to effectively execute tasks in a high-volume environment.

* Develops, builds and manages relationships internally and externally.

* Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

* Is optimistic with a can-do attitude.

* Is honest, genuine and transparent.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

* Strong interpersonal skills, understands customers and their needs.
