Position Summary:

The incumbent in this position directs all wellness initiatives in the organization to drive employee well-being in part to reduce overall healthcare costs. The incumbent is responsible for designing, implementing, executing and measuring the effectiveness of all wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Work is typically performed with minimal supervision. Must be able to define work based on the provided short term and long term goals of the department. Must also be able to independently evaluate programs and vendors, identify areas of improvement, and determine the best way to engage employees in order to achieve overall work objectives and goals of the well-being initiatives.

1) Design, implement, maintain and measure the effectiveness of wellness initiatives -

* Responsible for implementing well-being initiatives across the entire organization. Selecting appropriate well-being initiatives based on size and demographics of locations in conjunction with the evaluation of the return on investment (ROI). May introduce health seminars, ergonomics recommendations, nutrition, preventive care programs, disease management, fitness, financial wellness programs and other programs consistent with the overall benefits strategy. Ensures compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures as well as any local, state or federal legislative requirements.

* Work closely with Risk Management and Worker's Compensation leads to establish best practice programs that can benefit employee health, safety and well-being.

* Deliver employee well-being programs that directly result in the reduction of health care costs while improving employee well-being. Target medically underserved areas to create alternate health care providers. Align program development around top medical and pharmaceutical claim and treatment types.

* Responsible for creating programs that create more mindful healthful habits including money management, stress management, nutrition, physical mobility and general health and well-being.

* Responsible for developing, implementing and managing onsite Medical clinics and other health/fitness programs if and when initiated.

2) Responsible for driving the creation of all marketing collateral and employee communications of programs, seminars and offerings -

* Responsible for creating annual program themes and ensuring dissemination of marketing collateral and communication media for programs, including paper, internet, e-learning and other.

* Responsible for measuring utilization and effectiveness of all programs introduced with the help of Benefits analyst.

3) Responsible for the development of the annual strategic plan as a part of 3-5 year strategy -

* Responsible for annual updates and modifications of the strategic plan as well as creating an annual well-being budget for initiatives, collateral, consulting, tools, software and give-always as appropriate.

4) Responsible for managing the vendor relationship -

* Responsible for establishing all service level agreements and monitoring that the vendors have performed at the level expected. Responsible for the delivery of standard monthly, quarterly and annual program results with the assistance of the benefits team as well as outside vendors.

* Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health and Education or equivalent, is required.

* 15 plus years' experience in nursing or occupational health orrelated health and wellness, or a demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through acomparable number of years of applicable work experience is required.

* ProblemSolving - Able to apply broad workexperience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems. Must be able consistently identify criticalelements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions. Must be able to organize/prioritize existingresources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the mosteffective solutions. Able to create andexecute project plans with no direct authority over resources.

* Communicationsskills - Requires excellent communication skills with ability to statemessages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others tounderstand. Able to explain programspolicies and procedures in language that is understood by others.

* Adaptability- Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to matchthe appropriate level of the audience targeted. Requires strong understanding of the impact of a message on theorganization or customer. Able to write with the clarity and precisionnecessary for the work being performed.
