OppenheimerFunds (OFI) is seeking a Senior Retirement Consultant to cover the Midwest region. The primary role of the Senior Retirement Consultant is to develop relationships with intermediaries to drive sales and retain assets.


* The Senior Retirement Consultant will be specifically responsible for:

* Developing and executing sales and retention strategies focused on maximizing OFI's penetration of the retirement market and increasing customer loyalty within the territory

* Identifying, developing and deepening partnership opportunities with relevant financial advisors to generate revenue and meet sales quotas

* Credibly representing and positioning OFI's investment strategies, including differentiating the firm's strategies from competitor strategies

* Partnering with colleagues in Broker Dealer, RIA and Private Client Sales, Strategic Accounts, Marketing and Regional Retirement Consultants to ensure alignment around business strategy, capitalize on opportunities and to anticipate and overcome challenges

* Conducting effective group and individual presentations designed to educate and support retirement-focused financial advisors and their efforts to better serve their clients and prospects.

* 10 years of sales experience with a significant portion of those years focused on marketing retirement products

* A verifiable and proven track record of success raising DC assets across multiple years and varying market conditions in the intermediary and broker/dealer channels

* A proven business development process/methodology that includes collaboration with their platform management and local external wholesaler colleagues

* Relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within OFI's target firms and institutions.

* Undergraduate degree required, with strong record of academic achievement

* Series 7 & 63 required

* CIMA designation preferred

* Unparalleled ability to identify and gain audience with key investment decision-makers and influencers

* A strong investment acumen and subject matter expertise in Retirement and DCIO as well as a deep understanding of the competitive landscape

* In-depth understanding of capital markets and the impact of economic factors

* Knowledge of investment planning topics relevant to retirement, including tax, estate and funding

* Proven ability to analyze data, create and implement a successful business plan and territory plan

* Demonstrated ability to think strategically, build strong relationships and execute across varying market cycles

* Excellent listening skills with a natural inclination to focus on customer needs

* Strong presentation and communication skills

* Creativity and resourcefulness while remaining pragmatic and grounded

* Successful candidate must reside within region
