SUMMARY: The Vice President, Accounting will have overall responsibility for the Company's revenue accounting functions and processes, as well as, other corporate accounting functions. To be successful, the VP of Accounting will not only need to ensure the company's accounting is accurate and timely, but also must work collaboratively with key business constituents and leaders across the organization, while providing strategic and thoughtful analytics on revenue to help drive business results. The VP of Accounting will have responsibility for accounting research and solutions over their areas of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of technical accounting knowledge, and demonstrates an ability to understand and manage complex, high volume transactions flowing through multiple systems. He/she will be able to work collaboratively across the entire organization to drive effective and sustainable solutions and bring an innovative and proactive approach to process improvement. This role reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.


* Provides accounting and financial leadership and acts as a business partner to CEO and Executive Management

* Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates all fiscal functions for maximum efficiencies of process, policies, and personnel.

* Provides direction, leadership and development to direct reports.

* Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses and information reports.

* Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the Company (i.e., growth, new markets, and evaluation of potential alliances, employee benefits, retirement plans, and investments).

* Performs financial modeling, evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory interactions.

* Develops reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs of the Company.

* Optimizes the management of bank and deposit relationships and initiates appropriate strategies to enhance the Company's cash position on a broad overall basis and manage cash flow investment risk and yields.

* Establishes the Company's credit policies and works to continually improve the timeliness and accuracy of the Company's cash flow and management of the billing/collections process and month end, quarterly and year end closings.

* Oversees risk and Corporate insurance requirements.

* Ensures compliance with all tax reporting requirements including income tax, franchise tax, sales tax, and employment taxes.

* Coordinates with appropriate legal counsel relating to financial and corporate governance/compliance and risk assessment matters.

* Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company.

* Recommend and manage Company relationships with outside financial consultants, auditors and banks.

* Keep abreast of best practices related to credit, treasury, accounting and data security, including the ability to provide recommendations for updates and changes to current practices.

* Oversee financial elements of strategic partnerships and/or M&A efforts.

* Serves on the company's leadership team to develop strategies and provide counsel on issues, obstacles or trends.

* Performs other financial-related duties as required.

* Leads process improvement initiatives in his/her area that drive efficiency, scale and compliance.

* Manages, controls and continuously improves financial performance of the business.

* Accountable for accuracy, timeliness and quality of consolidated reporting and statutory reporting based on relevant accounting principles.

* Accountable for order intake forecasting and actual reporting.

* Responsible for financial target setting process

* Accountable for financial risk management.

* Accountable for accounts receivables controlling and cash collection

* Accountable for compliance with audit and corporate requirements

* Supports global tax and legal processes as required


* At least five years' experience in a mid-to senior-level accounting and/or finance position

* Experience in a professional services, telecommunications and/or construction company is preferred

* Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles

* Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems

* Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations

* Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections and provide actionable recommendations to maximize profitability

* Working knowledge of short-and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis

* Small and large project/program orientation

* Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects

* Computer proficiency is essential, including advanced experience with Microsoft Excel

* Strong interpersonal skills required in dealing effectively with human resource issues, outside auditors, bankers, and board of directors

* Hands-on individual with a strong work ethic


* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is preferred

* A CPA certification is highly preferred
