UX Designer- Customer Portal

Position Summary:

The UX Designer, Customer Portal is responsible for designing and continually improving our customer portal as well as our customer-facing REST API.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Own the customer experience for both the portal and the API

* Own the customer experience for services sold on the portal:

* Telephone Number (TN) Inventory Management

* Toll Free Number (TFN) Inventory Management

* Number Porting (TNs and TFNs)

* Number Routing (TNs and TFNs)

* Text Message Registration (TNs and TFNs)

* Features

* 911

* Messaging (TNs, TFNs, and REST)

* CNAM Storage

* CNAM Dips

* Directory Listing

* Trouble Ticketing

* Network Statistics and Reporting

* Billing Support

* Customer/User Administration

* Document the portal / API for both customer and internal purposes

* Document and communicate internal processes for services sold on the portal

* Actively participate in all phases of software development

* Gather requirements / feedback from

* Customers

* Internal stakeholders

* Internal users

* Other analysts and downstream systems

* Analyze requirements and document actionable development requests

* Participate in the design process

* Participate in the development process

* Document and execute test conditions

* Communicate and participate in deployment

* Monitor and report on portal and API usage

Knowledge and Skills:

* Bachelor's degree required (related major preferred)

* 3+ years of UX experience

* 3+ years of REST API design experience

* Proficiency in prototyping tool for UI/UX Design (required)

* Proficiency in SoapUI, Postman, or other API tool (required)

* Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL (preferred)

* Superior customer service skills

* Strong analytical ability

* High level of initiative and resourcefulness

* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Proven documentation skills with consistent accuracy of details

* Self-starter with a high energy level

* Ability to work independently without supervision once trained

* Prioritize and balance multiple projects and tasks

* Manage time effectively and meet deadlines

* Operate with a considerable degree of credibility and business acumen

* Strong Spreadsheet and Word Processing skills
