MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or law school OR a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited business or data processing/information technology school. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale.

* Students must maintain the required GPA throughout the duration of their employment/internship

* Must be enrolled in school with a minimum of 6 credit hours (or quarter hour equivalency) throughout the duration of the internship, with the exception of academic breaks, i.e. summer

* Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

* Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student standing

* Availability for one (1) year

* Availability to work 10-20 hours per week during normal business hours

* Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, and/or Financial Auditing

Residency Requirement: All employees of the City of Chicago must be actual residents of the City as outlined in 2-152-050 of the City of Chicago Municipal Code. Proof of residency will be required.
