POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Analytic Innovation Director is responsible for the vision, framework, strategic development, and socialization of K-C's Analytical and Behavioral Research capabilities. They are responsible for the continued expansion of our capabilities based upon advances in the areas of behavioral economics / science, market / media mix models, multi-touch attribution, pricing and other business drivers, brand equity, segmentation, consumer & predictive analytics, and 1:1 marketing

This person will be a thought leader; identifying, aligning, and embedding these capabilities into the K-C Way of Brand Building to enable teams to leverage these capabilities to drive business results. They will regularly interact with a wide variety of senior level stakeholders including regional presidents, global sector leaders, regional sector leaders and the CMO and their team.

MAIN CHALLENGES

* Problem Solving: Problem solve and drive through industry challenges / barriers to exceed norms, especially where currently established methods and means are not meeting evolving business challenges / needs

* Driving Predictive Outcomes: Break through discipline / methodology siloes, data challenges, shifting industry/ category/ brand landscapes to work internally and with partners to drive holistically predictive measurement & business outcomes

* Driving integration: Weaving together Data Driven Marketing, Behavioral Science & Predictive Analytics into the holistic backbone of the K-C Way of Brand Building

* Field Vision: Understanding the future needs of our Sectors and shifting work priorities in a rapidly changing landscape

* Governance: Compiling all capabilities development plans globally and working with IT to scorecard / benchmark their progress, ideally in an automated way

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

* For the K-C Way of Brand Building, architect and infuse our research & analytics practice: frameworks, language, best practices, partner evaluation & selection criteria & training, etc. Identify future areas of analytic expertise and lead world-class analytic & research tool development.

* Train practitioners on new techniques as they arise

* Identification of future areas of research & analytic expertise

* World-class research & analytic tool development

* Impact and evolve internal processes and collaboration models for a unified, integrated approach

* Identify, codify / standardize & socialize global research & analytics best practices for segmentation, pricing and promotions analysis, marketing / media mix modeling, front end innovation, program measurement, brand equity measurement, behavioral science, precision targeting, content / creative testing and program / media optimization

* Collaborate and enable two-way connection with all Global Sector Research & Analytics leads; ensure that Global Sector Leader priorities are represented on the strategic capabilities plan

* Drive advances in our core methodologies leveraging advances, learning and tools in the fields of Behavioral Sciences and Predictive Analytics.

* Drive analytic efforts to optimize business results for price strategy and price setting; optimize marketing investments across products and channels to drive the right balance between ROI and volume.

* Own business requirements and a capabilities innovation plan with our ITS partners; work with IT ensuring appropriate data and technology support for capabilities innovation initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree, MBA or graduate level degree preferred

Experience:

* Minimum 15 years of experience in all aspects of market research & analytics

* Minimum 8 years of experience in senior leader roles

* Minimum 5 years of experience successfully working in global role(s)

Competencies:

* In-depth knowledge of a comprehensive range of statistical techniques and world-class methodologies for analytic practices.

* Proven leadership among cross-functional and global teams

* Hands on experience with qualitative and quantitative market research methods

* Ability to analyze, distill and integrate multiple data sources into strategic marketing recommendations.

* Deep knowledge of consumer and media trends and implications for analytic and measurement advances.

* Outstanding communication skills, especially the ability to make complicated analytics and statistical results accessible, understandable and actionable.

* Ability to strategically negotiate and manage large global contracts.

* Prior experience leading global analytics initiatives

* Demonstrated ability to articulate and defend strategy and its implications to Sr. executives
