The Sales Development Manager (SDM) is responsible for all sales activities in numerous channels to market representing the company's entire portfolio of products and services. The Sales Development Manager's primary responsibility is hunting & generating new business. This includes lead generation through close, in a specific multi-state geographic territory. Develops and implements a plan that reflects the sales & marketing goals of the company. The SDM works within the organization's support teams for the achievement of volume & revenue generation as well as a level of customer satisfaction that is in-line with the company vision and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and maintaining a database of existing and qualified leads, contacts and accounts through internet research, telephone calls, referrals, cold calling, e-mail, direct mail, and networking through use of CRM/Salesforce.

Demonstrate selling skills over the phone and in person and maintain industry specific product and market knowledge through all product lines and services of the company.

Work directly with the Corporate Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales, Category Analyst & Marketing Department to successfully further growth in all channels to market.

Follow a business plan as set forth by the company which details all activities to follow allowing the Sales Development Manager to meet or exceed sales quota.

Ability to complete and review company generated electronic order forms and be a key contributor to the customer order placement process to ensure process improvement, order accuracy and timeliness to deliver on the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Maintain the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others to help solve problems and stay focused on the customer.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

Five or more years sales experience required
