Our client is a fast-growing startup based in San Francisco that markets products and services based upon webcasting and virtual event and environment technology. They are a privately held company whose primary venture capital investors are Goldman Sachs, Gold Hill Capital, U.S. Venture Partners, Canaan Partners and Rho Ventures.

This role can be based in the Chicago area or California.

The RVP of Sales plays a key role and is responsible for the growth of our client's customers with a focus on the Enterprise segment. The Executive will drive high velocity Acquisition efforts of new logos. The successful candidate will lead a team of Sales people including managers to collaborate with internal groups such as; Marketing and Customer Success to drive measurable value for ON24 leading to predictable growth and renewal of our customer base. Reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Sales, the Regional Vice President, Enterprise Sales will have the opportunity to lead the sales team to win opportunities through development of strong direct customer relationships at all levels of the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • The Regional Vice President, Enterprise Sales will provide the leadership necessary to scale the Acquisition sales team.

  • Deliver on sales quota that exceeds objectives, ensuring that quarterly and annual booking and subscription targets are achieved.

  • Recruit, manage, and motivate a sales team to attain sales goals.

  • Provide strategic direction and tactical insights to improve sales productivity.

  • Set individual team member goals; provide performance feedback on results, including annual performance reviews.

  • Manage sales forecast to ensure accurate data is provided to executive team.

  • Work to maintain on-going communication and provide excellent customer relationships.

  • Demonstrate ability to transition from small company to large company, whether private or publicly run.

  • Develop and execute the strategy selling across various business units.

  • Provide competitive intelligence for use in positioning of company product offerings.

  • Provide strategic direction and tactical insights to improve sales productivity.

  • Set individual team member goals; provide performance feedback on results, including annual performance reviews.


 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 


  • Must possess excellent management skills to manage & scale an Acquisition sales team.

  • Demonstrate record of success in a goal oriented, high velocity, sales environment.

  • SaaS sales leadership experience is essential.

  • Significant sales growth within a relatively truncated time frame.

  • Executive level strategy, communication, and presentation skills are required. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, patient, customer oriented, analytical, strategic, mature, have a global mind-set, and knowledge of foreign protocol and industry.

  • Ability to prioritize company objectives and meet aggressive deadlines; outstanding team leadership, team development and communication skills.

  • 10+ years of senior level management experience leading sales teams in growth oriented SaaS companies.

  • 5+ years of SaaS experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with marketing automation solutions strongly recommended

  • Bachelors Degree required, Advanced Degree strongly recommended.

  • Substantial travel required.
