The Regional Ambulatory Nurse Manager is responsible for administrative and patient care oversight activities within an assigned practice region. Working closely with the Practice Administrator and Ambulatory Medical Director, the Regional Ambulatory Nurse Manager will train and develop a team of medical assistants to ensure effective, accurate and quality driven clinical workmanship in the clinics leading to enhanced patient flow, safety and quality and patient satisfaction. Responsible for oversight of all compliance and regulatory standards especially those related to JCAHO, HFAP, and CLIA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Regional Ambulatory Nurse Manager is responsible for administrative and patient care oversight activities within an assigned practice region. Working closely with the Practice Administrator and Ambulatory Medical Director, the Regional Ambulatory Nurse Manager will train and develop a team of medical assistants to ensure effective, accurate and quality driven clinical workmanship in the clinics leading to enhanced patient flow, safety and quality and patient satisfaction. Responsible for oversight of all compliance and regulatory standards especially those related to JCAHO, HFAP, and CLIA.

* Provide leadership and support for personnel and operations of clinical staff at assigned ambulatory clinic sites

* Establish quality and productivity performance standards and goals, including ongoing quality assurance and auditing

* Provide supervision and coaching, fostering positive teamwork to Medical Assistants

* Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit

* Ensure a conducive workplace environment between all levels of providers and staff

* Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans

* Develop and maintain policies and procedures as well as educational tools for clinical staff in accordance with Trinity Physician Network Organization guidelines

* Maintain collaborative relationship with physicians in the practice and ensure MAs are rendering care according to the guidelines of a standard care arrangement.

* Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments if called upon to assist

* Help clinical team build and foster a medical home environment

* Help implement insurance/managed care compliance methodology within clinical team

* Participate in training programs for practice staff and providers

* Assist in MMG development and reporting of a practice quality assurance program

* Maintain knowledge of and promote compliance with requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, other third party payers, as well as state and federal laws, HIPAA, coding, and billing requirements

* Keep abreast of industry and organizational changes that impact patient care Continuously evaluate, seek out opportunities, and lead change for workflow, system, and process improvement to streamline clinical operations

* Work with IS on system enhancements, implementations, and projects as they relate to clinical operations

* Participate in regulatory initiatives, i.e. MIPS, HFAP, etc.
