IT Performance Manager

This role is for an experienced IT governance professional who will provide advice to ensure IT performance is continuously improved. The IT Performance Manager belongs to a team of IT governance professionals who manage various aspects of IT governance from service continuity to change management. The Performance Manager role is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of IT services.

The Performance Manager is responsible for evidencing and reporting adherence to control frameworks including: COBIT, ITIL and NIST CSF.


Provide evidence of the effectiveness of IT controls in order to establish the maturity level and identify gaps between practice and policy

Review the implementation of IT governance baselines.

Direct the evolution of established controls to continually improve IT service maturity

Compile monthly reports on the effectiveness of IT services

Review the IT policies and practices, propose enhancements in policy and resolve any gaps in practice Investigate and report on all IT governance breaches

Responsible for the proper definition and implementation of governance policies and processes within IT operations and projects

Works with IT line managers at all levels to ensure they are fulfilling their specific governance responsibilities and service level agreements

Collaborate with IT management to continually evolve IT governance to ensure the environment is stable, secure and resilient Maintain and validate IT governance policies against IT practices Manage the access review process within IT to ensure IT owners of assets complete reviews based on the agreed upon timetables

Provide back-up for Service Delivery Management, Incident Management, Change Management processes & Problem Management


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience

COBIT certified assessor or ITIL accreditation

5+ years' experience working in IT

2+ years' experience working within an IT governance or process management role

Experience working in a regulated and/or financial industry

Able to collaborate with diverse teams and staff of all levels

Demonstrated ability to create clear & concise documentation

Detail oriented Deadline focused Strong communication skills Proven leadership


Experience with COBIT and ITIL control frameworks

Experience with Role Based Access Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and wiki tools Experience with ITSM reporting tool (ServiceNow, etc.)

Thorough understanding of industry best practices in regard to IT governance and security
