Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate, agile, customer-driven, email marketing expert responsible for managing, reviewing, planning and executing the company's targeted marketing campaigns. This position will develop and execute strategies that acquire, engage, nurture, and drive customer affinity. The manager will partner with cross-functional agile teams to develop customer-centric, campaign-specific targeted marketing programs that effectively deliver the right message to the right customer at the appropriate state in their consideration process to achieve business and marketing objectives.


* The overarching Email and SMS Channel Marketing Strategy;

* Managing relationships and budget with email and SMS marketing vendors;

* Partnering with cross-functional teams to support all email and SMS opportunities;

* Managing the workload for the Email and Mobile Specialist;

* Reporting campaign and program level results;

* Making campaign level strategic decisions for support across email and mobile;

* Developing, executing, and optimizing acquisition and retention strategies, programs, and tactics to grow our email and SMS database;

* Developing and deploying email and SMS campaigns;

* Constantly reviewing and optimizing regular email, mobile, and marketing automation campaigns;

* Developing strategies to improve multichannel marketing maturity;

* Improving customer relationships by understanding customer preferences through first and third party data;

* Participating in the B2B communication strategy and workflow on a regular basis;

* Adhering and advising on email and mobile marketing standards, processes and best practices;

* Improving key performance indicators including active subscribers, open rates, click rates, opt-out rates, and conversions;

* Managing and tracking campaign requests while meeting all SLAs and quality standards;

* Tracking, managing and prioritizing work effectively to ensure internal deadlines, timetables and approvals are met.


* 5+ years experience in digital marketing campaign execution, implementation, testing, analytics and planning

* 5+ years leveraging an industry-leading marketing automation/CRM platform (i.e. IBM/Silverpop, Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget, Marketo, or similar)

* Several years planning, launching and optimizing strategic acquisition, nurture, and retention programs a plus

* Deep understanding of email marketing for both B2B and B2C audiences including but not limited to email anatomy, key metrics and a/b testing

* Ability to provide measurement and reporting programs and deliver insights that increase program effectiveness

* Strong Excel experience with an ability to rapidly digest and analyze data, and to accurately present the results

* Basic HTML and minimal Java experience and competency is a plus

* Exceptional written and oral communications skills. Strong collaboration and organizational skills are a must

* The ability to multitask and manage own workload while still completing projects at a rapid pace

* Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment

* Tracking, managing and prioritizing work effectively to ensure internal deadlines, timetables and approvals are met

* Ability to travel up to 10% domestically

* Academic background in marketing, communications, business, technology or related field. Undergraduate college degree
