Position Details:

We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer to be a part of a team building a new product. This exceptional role is part of a team of data engineers, a business analyst, and a quality engineer, which works directly with a product owner and architect. You have experience designing and building on the public cloud, success in building products from scratch, and a strong foundation in software engineering.

You can be based in either downtown Chicago or Lake Forest, Illinois with some work from home opportunities. You will report to the Manager, Product Engineering.

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
  • Experience designing on the public cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • Experience writing and editing reusable UI components
  • Experience with a UI/Webapp framework (e.g. React/NextJS)
  • Experience with event streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka)
  • Experience with Java or other back-end languages (e.g. Kotlin, Node JS) and an understanding of database systems (e.g. documentDB, MongoDB)
  • Understanding of modern JavaScript language features and techniques
  • Understanding of API and JSON payload design
  • Ability to design and plan with Product Owner and Architect to build out technical stories and prioritize work
  • Good communication and mentor
  • Versed in agile practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience


  • Experience with an eCommerce platform
  • Experience leading engineers
  • Familiarity with CI/CD delivery frameworks (e.g. CircleCI)
