As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will:

  • Implement our unique, creative and original curriculum supporting students in their social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth
  • Assess each student's abilities and progress throughout the school year
  • Be familiar with the National Association of the Education of Young Children and the Department of Children and Family Services compliance and standards
  • Uphold the NY Kids Club pillars of customer services
  • Have a high level of enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Effectively communicate the day to day activities and development with parents and caregivers

Desired Skills

• Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • An early childhood education-related degree (Bachelors, Associates or CDA ) or the desire to complete
  • Sixty semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six
  • Must meet the requirements of Section 407.100, for an Early Childhood Teacher
  • Experience working with DCFS licensed programs and meet all requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience working as an Early Childhood Facility or Preschool
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent observation and supervision skills
