Collaborative Care - Psychiatrist

The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience is seeking a full-time faculty member to serve as the Psychiatrist with expertise in individual therapy, group therapy, and treatments in a collaborative care model. The candidate most suitable for this position will have expertise in assisting primary care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders by providing psychiatric consultation in a primary care setting. Responsibilities include building and maintaining working relationships between primary care, mental health providers, on-campus programs, community affiliations, outpatient consultation and individual patient care. Candidates are expected to be involved in the clinical and didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Prior to the start of employment, the qualified candidate must: 1) have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree; 2) obtain or be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Illinois; and 3) be board eligible/certified in general psychiatry.
