GEICO's Corporate HQ is accepting applications for our next Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor based out of our Chevy Chase, MD office. This position will be a people manager and leader for a variety of different roles including: operating engineers; engineering technicians; electricians; and janitorial staff. You'll be a strong project manager as well as a purchasing specialist and keep meticulous records of business operations.

The ideal candidate will occasionally support other local GEICO properties in addition to our Chevy Chase HQ. You'll need to be comfortable working non-standard, emergency hours as needed as well as pre-arranged overtime situations. For detailed information on working conditions, please see below.

Position Requirements

* BS in Business Administration or related field

* Licenses and permits to be maintained in accordance with state regulations

* Supervisory experience, customer contact and excellent customer service skills

* The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and operate tools, equipment, vehicles and machinery, as needed

Working Conditions

* Indoor and outdoor environments, subject to adverse weather conditions and noise

* Comfortable working around mechanized equipment, practicing appropriate strategies of alertness and awareness thereof

* Job functions will require work on ladders up to 30 feet, structures and equipment

* Position will require work with energized conductors and equipment rated up from low to medium voltages

Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000
