Manager, Financial Reporting

The Financial Reporting & Treasury Team plays a critical role in the delivery of Administration services to our clients and its members interact with Fund Accounting personnel, auditors, printers, clients, and other SEI personnel. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Manage the financial statement process for certain clients

Manage a subset of the specialists on the Financial Reporting team

Assist in the preparation of financial statements for various alternatives' clients in accordance with the client mandated and/or regulatory reporting calendar

Meet daily and monthly reporting deliverable deadlines

Manage relationships with certain clients from a financial statement perspective, and maintain solid working relationships with their audit firms, vendors, as well as internal clients

Identify and support automation of various functions performed by the Financial Reporting & Treasury team

Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures

Support the department in achieving departmental measures/goals

Train and support professional development of the specialists, including hiring, performance appraisals and training

Coordinate with other teams to ensure a seamless operational process

Idea generation and ongoing assessment and improvement of operational service model

Participate on various departmental project teams

Stay abreast of current industry developments and system enhancements

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

BS/BA degree in accounting, finance or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services industry; Hedge and/or Private Equity a plus

Experience with financial statement preparation required

Minimum 3 years' supervisory or management experience

Strong technical accounting and reporting skills, including a solid understanding of complex fund structures and reporting requirements for such structures

Excellent organization and project management skills

Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)

Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management skills

Detail oriented

Ability to work under pressure

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
