ACH Processor

ACH Processor is responsible for all ACH Origination and ACH/Payroll back office activity. Processing all incoming ACH Activity; reviews and maintains all ACH Debits and Credits for proper posting. Processes payroll reclamations and return notices of ACH debits.

Major Responsibility: ACH Processor balances ACH totals to FRB daily; prepares general voucher incorporating entire payroll posting, maintains all share draft functions to include adjustments, stop payment requests, money market withdraws. Completes reports required for all functions accurately and by deadline given. ACH Processor processes incoming/outgoing Fed wires, bond, and tax deposits daily as available using dual control, performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirement: The successful candidate will have three years to five years of similar or related experience. (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and excellent math skills. Possess interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members and employees both in person and by telephone. Ability to operate a typewriter, PC with related software programs and calculator with good speed and accuracy. Physical qualifications require being able to sit at a computer and other office related equipment for extended periods of time and to be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
