Nature of Work
Department of Commerce/ Division of Natural Resources (DNR)/ Division of Parks and Recreation/ Pipestem Resort State Park, Summers Co. – Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of general grounds maintenance work at Pipestem Resort State Park. Duties include, but are not limited to, mowing grass using riding mowers, push mowers, and string trimmers; cutting and splitting firewood; and repairing and painting sign. Will operate equipment such as a snowplow, backhoe, road grader, tractor, ditch witch, and bulldozer. Will perform maintenance on trails. Duties may require some physical labor and vary seasonally. During absence of Supervisor, will oversee the work of two full-time and approximately seven seasonal employees. Will help train seasonal employees on safe and efficient work methods and how to use equipment. Will help with the preparation of payroll. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Regular attendance is required for this position. Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Substitution: Completion of the tenth grade and two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience working in a public recreational area.
