RN Clinical Nurse II - Rehabilitation Unit

UNC Health Care's Rehabilitation Center is actively recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our team-oriented interdisciplinary unit. The Rehabilitation Center is a 30-bed inpatient facility that provides a full range of services including medical care, nursing care, and rehabilitation therapy to people with temporary and permanent disabilities. Common diagnoses include stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple traumas (often from motor vehicle accidents), amputation, as well as various other orthopedic, neuromuscular and neurological impairments. The Rehabilitation Center is seeking a nurse who is competent, compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic about providing excellent care to the patients we serve. Each nurse cares for 5-6 patients per shift with support from Certified Nursing Assistants and a Health Unit Coordinator. This nurse will provide routine direct and indirect care in the rehabilitation setting and will have the opportunity to collaborate with our Rehabilitation Center physicians and therapists to provide the best patient care. This is a primarily day shift position with some night shift rotations. All RNs are required to work 2 weekends every 6 weeks.

Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
