Nursing Assistant I for Cardiac Surveillance

The Nursing Assistant I will be working within this dynamic team will enjoy benefits of a very active and independent role. The NA I will perform 12-lead electrocardiograms throughout the hospital, place ECG and spO2 monitors on patients, manage inventory of telemetry boxes and batteries throughout the shift and assist with restocking supplies as needed, and performing minor clerical duties. In addition the NA I will have the opportunity to assist with patient care or other duties as assigned on the Intermediate Coronary Care Unit/3 Anderson where Cardiac Surveillance is housed. In addition, the NA I will serve as a resource and a liaison to the nursing staff regarding telemetry procedures and equipment.

Experience with 12 lead EKGs strongly preferred.

This is a part time, 24 hour/week position for night shift from 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays. Must be able to commit to Hospital Nursing Orientation which is for a full week Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and six months of related nursing assistant experience, which may include a nursing assistant course; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Nursing Assistant I must be listed with the NC Division of Health Service Regulation. Current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR required.
