Responsibilities

As a PROGRAM ANALYST you will be responsible for the following duties:

* Manages daily GEOINT/Imagery programmatic functions, interfaces with mission partners across the IC and DoD, reaches out to operational users to ensure proper program support.

* Evaluates the effectiveness of new and on-going system engineer program operations and objectives.

* Advises key staff on the impact of internal and external factors for decisions on programs, program development, cost, schedule, and performance of mission and projects.

* Oversees work effort of assigned FFRDC and SETA staff.

* Provides extensive coordination and guidance to a wide range of government, military, and contractor personnel on methods, processes, practices, lessons learned and risk mitigation.

* Develops, maintains and manages updates to program documentation, performing evaluations as required.

* Develops, prepares and conducts oral and/or written presentations to report monthly analysis of project or program status in order to identify and isolate potential problems.

* Determines course of action necessary to address deficiencies and recommend remedial action.

* Responsible for performing various technical and advisory functions relative to the personnel assigned to the particular project segment.

* Provide NRO Space systems and NRO Enterprise support.

* Provide system design and development testing in space systems.

* Provide advice and recommendations regarding program planning and funding management issues.

* Interprets broad policy and program directives; and makes recommendations of time-phasing of planning actions along with acquisition management actions.

* Provide analytical support related to satellite Imagery science.

* Identify and specify collection capabilities to fulfill Space resiliency requirements.

Qualifications

This position is a Senior Level DCIPS position. DCIPS Senior level positions include GG-14. The NRO is ONLY accepting applications from current GS/GG-14 or equivalent Federal Government employees for this position. Federal government employees, who are currently at a GS/GG-14, or equivalent may ONLY apply for a lateral assignment at their current grade level, and step.

Specialized experience required for this position is:

1. Complex system design, development and testing of spacecraft systems.

2. System performance modeling and assessment of spacecraft systems.

3. Providing analytical support related to GEOINT/Imagery.

4. Providing analytical support related to satellite science Imagery; Providing technical performance measurements related to space resiliency.
