Summary:

* The Desktop Technician is responsible for the support, performance, and functionality of the system environment, including end user support, upgrades, customization, and system integration. Which may include coordinating integration activities, responsibility for the architecture, design, implementation of the expanding network and needed security, and the maintenance of web development services. Desktop Technician is also responsible for supporting end users in the use of the equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

* Responsible for support of laptops and all peripherals, security and software upgrades.

* Responsible for data security including personnel access, hardware requirements and software support.

* Analyze and develop technical documentation/procedures to enforce network security and administration requirements.

* Manages LAN security and network performance.

* Install, configure, maintain, operate, and upgrade all laptops

* Troubleshoot a wide range of software and hardware used throughout the network.

* Maintain up-to-date expertise in the operation and application of software and a working knowledge of a wide variety of commonly used hardware and software.

* Conduct security audits to include internal and external intrusion detection systems.

* Develop and maintain a patch management program of monitoring systems for compliance.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

* Bachelor's Degree preferred.

* 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of education.

* 5 years' management experience.

* Demonstrated leadership and vision in logistics and property management for major projects or initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

* Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

* Knowledge of government contract management and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
