IWCO Direct is seeking a Lettershop Supervisor to join our high-growth, creative organization at our facility located in Chanhassen, MN. This position will work 12-hour night shift (6pm - 6am), on a 4/3 schedule.

The Lettershop Supervisor provides leadership to department employees and completes all job orders in an efficient and profitable manner, ensuring the department meets or exceeds production objectives.

Responsibilities include:

* Meeting department measurement goals, including waste reduction, billable hours, utilization improvement, spoilage, and rework

* Work with employees to ensure shift metrics are met

* Maintain an active presence on the production floor in order to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate and maximize employee morale and productivity

* Ensuring all color standards are met

* Establishing innovative, cost-effective, and proactive methods to serve customers and meet company goals

* Adjusting workflow, team responsibilities, shift inventories, equipment maintenance as needed

* Scheduling staff according to workload and productivity goals and adjusting workflow, team responsibilities, shift inventories, and equipment maintenance as necessary

* Ensuring all quality standards and procedures are followed and identifying and addressing opportunities to improve quality and reduce rework with key objective of zero defects

* Overseeing set-ups to reduce change times

* Maintaining weekly production reports within department

* Ensuring compliance with all state and federal environmental, safety, and health regulations

* Assisting department manager in identifying staffing level plan/budget, supplier costs for customer jobs, expense/revenue levels, etc.

* Communicating effectively with managers and supervisors in other facilities; providing input and utilizing others' ideas to reach or exceed planned profit margins

* Maintaining a clean and safe work area

* All other duties that may apply

Minimum Experience/Education Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in manufacturing field or business a plus (will consider comparable industry experience in lieu of education)

* 5-7 years manufacturing/production experience

* 2+ years proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing capacity, preferably with a background in digital print, lettershop, or personalization within the direct mail industry

* Knowledge of digital color, color standards, USPS regulations, and personalization equipment

* Basic MS Word and Excel skills; Foundation experience a plus

* Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training preferred

* Knowledge of Six Sigma a plus

* Ability to maintain an active physical presence on the production floor

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and stoop for up to 12 hours

* Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating 3 or 4 days per week including weekends; flexibility to work additional hours as necessary
