Summary/Objective:

Rogers Corporation is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer for Advanced Connectivity Solutions (ACS) in the Western United States and Western Canada territory. The candidate will work remotely from a home office and preferably be based in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, or Utah.

The successful candidate will expand Rogersâ Advanced Connectivity Solutionâs materials market presence in the sales territory, increase the sales of ACS materials by directly managing the customers that are strategic to our long-term success, and actively work to both develop and then maintain the long term relationships between these customers and Rogers personnel. This position will report to the Sales Manager for the region.

Essential Functions:

-Manage Customer Accounts: Achieve sales growth objectives, identify significant sales opportunities, devise plans for pursuing them, and provide sales forecasts and the reports to support these efforts.

-Provide expertise and leadership in winning new business for a specific geographic territory and by working closely with customers and other members of the Advanced Connectivity Solutions team as required.

-Work closely with the ACS material fabricators in the area to insure the support required, and that we are their material of choice to their customers that look to them for High Speed Digital and High Frequency material suggestions.

-Participate effectively in the sales planning process, which includes writing Tactical Action Plans, territory sales plans, Customer Intelligence Reports and updating forecasts as directed by sales management.

-Monitor, analyze, and report on competitive activities.

-Participate in creating marketing and brand strategies helping to develop new product promotion materials. Provide, as available, engineering inputs for developing new products or modifying existing products.

Qualifications to be Successful:

BS Engineering / Science (BSEE preferred) with 8 to 10 years of experience including design, applications engineering, sales, and product management of RF and/or microwave circuitry. This position requires significant daily travel within the sales territory, and roughly 30% overnight travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in designing or selling RF and /or microwave, and high speed digital materials or circuitry.

Experience in direct technical sales of specialty circuit materials with a proven track record of increasing sales.

Experience in working with and/or managing global accounts (direct and indirect) - OEMs, fabricators, and circuit designers.
