- Issue and track change orders to client and subcontractors.
- Provide estimates as a basis for change orders. Quantity take-offs will be required of piping and electrical materials/line lengths to generate the manhours (MH) required for change orders.
- Interpret design packages and ensure that the 3D design aligns with the 2D package to include all components and are routed to correct points of connection (POC).
- Provide MH estimates to perform 3D design requirements.
- Ensure the piping and electrical modeling teams are meeting scheduled design deliverables.
- Track 3D modeling progress by utility to give an accurate percent complete of each tool model.
- Track spool drawing deliverables for fabrication to ensure spool drawings are complete for fabrication start date.
- Submit Go/No Go (GNG) forms prior to field walks. GNG requirements include: Reviewing the 2D design package, design details, P&IDs, tool layouts, and facility data sheets to ensure all points of connection are assigned by the engineer of record; Ensuring 3D tools blocks are available with all POCs; Ensuring all lateral POCs are available in the 3D model.
- Review weekly schedule changes from client and integrate the weekly schedule into the manpower projections.
- Communicate with project manager of any week to week schedule changes to ensure milestones are understood and met.
- Write and issue records of discussion (ROD) better known as request for information (RFI) to client.
- Maintain ROD logs and ensure RODs are being responded to and communicated to the piping and electrical teams.
- Ensure 3D models comply with customer quality standards and align with the Brycon quality checklist.
- Attend meetings to address critical line issues for fabrication (C-IFF) and issue for fabrication (IFF) as a representative of Brycon and make commitments to meet design deliverables.
- Communicate regularly with 3D modelers, field installation teams, tool owners, subcontractors and vendors.
- Communicate and work with BIM Manager, BIM Coordinators, BIM Modelers, and other project team members.
- Track drawings received from the engineer of record (field walk packages, first design review packages, design finish packages, IFC (issue for construction packages).
- Provide to engineer of record the cable tray lengths and cable tray entrance/exit points as requested by the city engineering department.
