Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee owned company, is seeking a talented, tenacious, results driven individual to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with likeminded motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists who are collectively responsible for creating custom digital signal processing solutions and communications systems in support of national security defense. RRC seeks exceptional technical personnel to join us in creating cutting edge signal processing, geolocation, and communication systems for the future.

Core responsibilities include technical leadership and reporting, algorithm development, system engineering, and software implementation and testing, and direct interaction with customers and end users. This individual will apply mathematics and physics to design and develop complex positioning and tracking systems for RF signals in demanding collection environments. This position includes technical leadership through all phases of the life cycle from concept through final delivery, using an iterative design methodology to maximize productivity and meet technical and programmatic requirements.

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical area which could include: Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Non-linear State Estimation

* Demonstrated experience with leading technical teams, includes working with subcontractors and personnel at remote locations

* Demonstrated experience with non-linear state estimation

* Demonstrated experience with Extended Kalman and particle filters

* Demonstrated capability in scientific programming, especially C/C++, Java, and MATLAB

* Experience with technical report writing (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)

* Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Desired:

* Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical area which could include: Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Non-linear State Estimation

* Experience with Geolocation using time difference of arrival (TDOA)/frequency difference of arrival (FDOA)

* Experience in practical system development and deployment

* X-Midas experience

Applicable Background:

* Markov processes

* Dynamical Systems

* Monte Carlo techniques

* Extended Kalman and particle filter approaches

* Mathematical techniques such as non-linear optimization and unbiased correlation

* Positioning algorithms such as MUSIC and TDOA/FDOA geolocation

Location:

* This position can be located at either our Headquarters in Tucson, Arizona; or at either office in Centennial, Colorado or Chantilly, Virginia.
