Position Summary: The Lead Installer is responsible for performing installation, startup, and final job walk, and sign off of all jobs. The Lead Installer is also responsible for assisting Project Managers in design, and other tasks as assigned.

  • Conducts final job walk and sign off of all jobs.
  • Coordinates and assigns daily activities and tasks to Installers and Apprentices.
  • Track changes to the Scope of Work as requested by persons of authority in onsite, such as the Owner, Construction Manager, Electrical Superintendent, etc., and documents changes.
  • Tests all equipment after termination to ensure performance.
  • Assures compliance with Company’s safety manual.
  • Ensures proper maintenance and care of company assigned vehicles.
  • Communicates with Project Managers on a regular basis regarding delays, requirements, and jobs statuses.
  • Keeps track of the location of installed devices.
  • Updates daily logbook with customer requests, daily work performed, job numbers, dates, and times and tasks assigned to Installers and Apprentices.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers to oversee installation of multiple crews to ensure jobs are on track and within budgeted estimate.
  • Trains Apprentices and Installers on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
  • Ensures all jobs are run within each phase’s estimates.
  • Teams up with Technical Support Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance.
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to Customer and Service Department.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

More than three (3) years of experience required in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a regular basis. Ideal employee must have more than one (1) year of working with industry specific equipment, such as access control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm systems.
