Retail Manager

Central States Manufacturing Cedar Hill, TX

Promote sales to end users, contractors, erectors, manufacturers, and other potential prospects or partners. Satisfy customer needs and exceed location goals. Individual will work closely with other employee-owners insuring accurate processes and reporting of location's fiscal responsibilities, along with coaching and leadership.


* Directs sales forecasts and sets performance goals

* Perform function of Retail Sales Position

* Give presentations of past, current, and future performance of location

* Maintain current Standard Operation Procedures

* Controller of location expenses

* Hire and/or justify location positions

* Prepare financial budgets for store, positioning the store for growth each year.

* Manage daily expectations for each team member to create a high-functioning team.

* Reviews/coaches market analyses determining customer needs, pricing, and discount rates.

* Responsible for staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.

* Advises local CSMI distributors concerning sales & advertising techniques.

* Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.

* Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.

* Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.

* Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

* Assists other departments to prepare sales/technical publications and prepares sales presentations.

* Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

* Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

* Additional duties as assigned



* Education/Experience: Bachelor degree and 5 years of retail management experience OR equivalent combination of Education and Experience.

* Computer Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office

* Personality Characteristics: People person with high integrity, accountability, self motivated, goal oriented, self starter, flexible and reliable

* Organization Skills: Must be organized, capable of setting priorities and good time management skills

* Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills required

* Physical Requirements: Able to lift 75 pounds
