Organizational Development Manager at Marquardt Switches, Inc.:

This Organizational Development Manager will support the Human Resources department and partner with key stakeholders to drive organizational development efforts across the business. The OD Manager will be responsible for administering the design, execution, and management of key talent management initiatives: learning & development, employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, and other organizational culture efforts.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive leadership, change management, and culture shaping efforts through the design and delivery of leadership development programs.
  • Provide expertise in design and implementation of talent management processes including: competency based trainings, performance management, talent review, succession planning, leader onboarding and coaching.
  • Support all departments and functional groups regarding organizational development needs while remaining strategically aligned with the corporate objectives.
  • Research, identify, design, and deliver impactful learning experiences
    • Develop and present well organized, compelling, appropriate and innovative recommendations for learning solutions.
    • Identify instructional goals and learning objectives.
  • Understand the strategic plan of the organization and use it as a tool to direct training initiatives
  • Work with required members of the organization to ensure that training needs meet the business strategy.
  • Provide expertise in design and implementation of talent management processes including: competency based trainings, performance management, talent review, succession planning, leader onboarding and coaching.
  • Manage the company’s global LMS System (Cornerstone) for learning, performance management, succession planning, and recruiting.
  • Understand how to manage projects, hit deadlines, and deliverables while keeping internal customers informed.
  • Coordinate grants, apprentice, and other program certifications.
  • Assist with conducting and coordinating new employee orientation and onboarding activities as well as improving current processes.
  • Maintain all records and reports to ensure compliance to State or Federal regulations and industry certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager and necessary in support of business objectives and the Human Resources department.

Required Qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Leadership & Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Leadership Development or Organizational Development with experience leading strategic initiatives and planning, management role preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working with different departments and disciplines, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industries.
  • Human Resources Generalist background or previous experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and measure talent management, leadership and training/OD programs.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Cornerstone.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated ability to plan and monitor the delivery of projects, anticipate appropriate resources, ensure quality, professional work and maintain high standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to prepare complex written reports/documents and to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.


  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed required (~10-15%).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities of employees.
