Job Posting Title:Director - Curriculum, Instruction & Professional Development Job Description:Provides leadership, training, support and coaching to members of Curriculum, Instruction & Professional Development Teams, building leaders and leadership teams and other leaders in the district who directly impact the schools in helping them successfully lead and support the implementation of the DCSD’s Strategic Plan. Works collaboratively with the Academic Cabinet and leaders in the CIPG Department and other academic departments to develop a systemic plan for professional training that builds the capacity in teachers and leaders across the system. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and district clientele. School Principal experience required. Position Specific Information (if Applicable): Responsibilities: --- Align differentiated professional development offerings to support staff across the district so they can successfully implement the strategic vision. --- Model visionary leadership and systems thinking in planning meetings and trainings. --- Work collaboratively with other leaders to strengthen the teaming structure across departments. --- Coach members of the Professional Development Team in planning and design to help them implement the practices aligned to the DCSD’s Strategic Plan. --- Work with EDOS and members of the Professional Development Team to develop a comprehensive professional development plan for Administrators. --- Work with the Academic Cabinet to develop a comprehensive plan to monitor the impact of professional development. --- Work with the IT department, Assessment, and School Leadership to expand the supporting components in InspirED to support the implement of the District’s Strategic Plan. --- Serve as a liaison to Assessment and School Leadership to align all professional development offerings and ensure high quality design and delivery. --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. --- Work collaboratively with Academic Cabinet members, their departments, and the CIPG Team to develop a visionary implementation plan for DCSD’s Strategic Plan and collaborative goals. --- Work collaboratively with department leaders and building leaders to develop complementary plans that align with the district’s goals and Strategic Plan. --- Work with other directors in PD and other academic departments to develop a comprehensive plan for the development of courses and professional development offerings. --- Co-facilitate professional development offerings and works collaboratively with leaders in other departments to develop and align professional development offerings across the district.
