ABB is seeking a Human Resource (HR) Onboarding Program Specialist for its Cary, North Carolina location. This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of On-Boarding Programs within the US, to ensure we have robust service offerings that offer a positive On-boarding experience for multiple employee groups at ABB. This person will support and partner with the Sr. HR On-boarding & Compliance Manager with implementing and maintaining an on-boarding strategy and program. The role will lead ad hoc projects related to program development and enhancements. This is a highly visible and important position that will have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities as ABB's On-boarding function continues to scale. Additionally, the role will interface with all levels of a matrixed organization and will interact and be the face of ABB. Candidates for this position must have a proven ability to keep up with multiple parties with continuous customer care in mind.

Your responsibilities

  • Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • • Act as liaison between the HR 3 pillar model (CoE, HR Business Partners, Global Business Services) to develop and maintain a seamless On-boarding strategy.
  • • Promote the strategic value of on-boarding within the organization.
  • • Partner in the development and design of enhanced and additional program offerings that support our business model and needs.
  • • Support and maintain various platforms systems of the on-boarding program by creating and managing data streams and work flows.
  • • Participate as a project stakeholder which includes, but is not limited to, on-boarding platform implementation projects, integrations, and global utilization.
  • • Provide Manager care and oversee employee care- function as the proactive point of contact to support new employees.
  • • Provide feedback and contribute ideas as we implement improvements to control and streamline the on-boarding process.
  • • On-boarding scheduling, which would include the scheduling of weekly new employee orientation for all incoming new hires.
  • • Maintenance of program governance including policies, procedures, and new employee portal content.
  • • Lead the development of the New Employee Orientation Webinar and strategy.
  • • Lead the transition of Form I-9 Compliance and e-Verify for new employees, once work stream is identified.
  • • Lead ad hoc projects as assigned when it comes to the development and change management involved in the creation of a strategic on-boarding program.

Your background

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or experience combined and minimum 5 years of experience in Onboarding.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • • Prior work experience with program design and management.
  • • Experience with supporting organization wide initiatives.
  • • Knowledge of SharePoint.
  • • Strong business sense, professionalism, and success producing results in a constantly changing environment.
  • • Program Development Experience.
  • • Aptitude and discipline to follow strict processes and adhere to employment regulations.
  • • Superior communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • • Strong follow-through and outstanding customer service skills.
  • • Ability to travel when necessary (Less than 10%).
