- Performs venipunctures and capillary sticks following Universal Precaution protocol; performs computer and clerical functions to order and collect laboratory data
- General job tasks include knowledge of Positive identification system, LIS, HIS, and EDM for computer order entry, receiving, faxing, scanning, answering phones, and stocking adequate supplies
- Duties require interaction with different patient age groups (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and elderly), recognizing that different age groups require specialized attention or care
- Performs other job duties as assigned
Become
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous laboratory services or phlebotomy preferred
- Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) preferred
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English
