Performs clinical and dispensing functions applicable in a pharmacy setting and maintains compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy

Begin 
  • Perform all dispensing functions
  • Understand and apply to daily practice the requirements of state and federal laws concerning the practice of pharmacy, including OSHA and EPA rules and regulations, DEA, BNDD and Board of Pharmacy
  • Understands and is able to accurately utilize the pharmacy computer system for the performance of daily duties
  • Able to operate all equipment used in the pharmacy during the daily operation
  • Direct, control, and verify the activities of Pharmacy technical support personnel on a daily basis
  • Maintain and use professional references and knowledge relative to pharmaceuticals
  • Assist in the educational experience for Pharmacy Interns and Externs
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels for operations
  • Maintains all appropriate records in a manner such as complies with state and federal regulations
  • Maintains appropriate control and accountability for narcotic and scheduled drug inventories
  • Interacts well with different patient age groups and recognizes that different age groups require different attention or care
  • Performs appropriate counseling of every patient consistent with the requirements of OBRA '90
  • Submits appropriate claims to third party insurance payors
  • Supervises the collection and disposition of revenue received in the pharmacy in the appropriate manner
  • Attends meetings and sits on committees as required by the Director
  • Fulfills such other duties as may be assigned by the Pharmacy Manager

Become 
  • S in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Must hold an active license to practice pharmacy in the state of Missouri.Experience in retail pharmacy preferred
  • Ability to supervise the activities of the pharmacy technicians and delegate authority as necessary
  • Ability to communicate with the pharmacy staff, healthcare professionals, and the community
  • Interest and ability to accomplish the exacting activities required of a Pharmacist
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
