POSITION PURPOSE:

To ensure all restaurant dishes, pots and pans are cleaned in a fast and consistent manner. Assists the supervisor and cooks in the day to day operations and maintenance of the culinary department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Cleans all restaurant and kitchen equipment, sinks, tables and drains in an orderly and consistent manner.

* Ensures the cleaning and sanitizing of all walk-in refrigerators. Maintains a clean and safe work area as directed by industry standards. Ensures that all floor mats, floors and walls are properly cleaned.

* Maintain a proper and professional relationship with all staff members and remain current on all policies and procedures that deal with the kitchen and the property.

* Assist cooks and stewards as needed. May perform other special projects as needed and as requested.

* Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

* High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.

* Must have at least 6 months experience in dealing with restaurant back of the house items.

* Able to read and comprehend written instructions.

* Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.

* Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.

* Excellent service approach when dealing with guests.

* Current Food Handler Certificate required.

* Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.

* Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available).
