Sr. Financial Systems Analyst

Summary:

Financial Functional System Analyst role supports the finance team on our finance tools (i.e., D365, ExFlow and SKSoft) while maximizing the capabilities across platform. This person will coordinate business functions, process flows and system changes and improvements to support the controller’s group by supporting day-to-day activities, financial close, and troubleshoot issues. Additionally, support accounting and finance projects, managing relationship with business partners and IT to deliver on key initiatives and drive results. Drive change by influencing the utilization of out-of-the-box system capabilities and prioritization of key organizational initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide ERP functional support (i.e., troubleshoot issues, make configuration updates, and manage workflows).
  • Research and documents transaction flow both inside and outside of ERP systems using various tools.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new functionality/reports and other post-implementation support.
  • Provide functional expertise across various areas of the business.
  • Manage financial business desk “backlog” in CRM tool.
  • Track configuration changes/updates.
  • Provide support for end user issue resolution and support testing of system functionality, document and escalate defects.
  • Liaison between business SMEs, IT and business partners.
  • Develop strong working relationship with business and IT teams and work cross functionally to deliver results for the organization.
  • Assist in providing training to end users for all new and modified functionality/reports.
  • Develop and maintain end-user documentation for all new and modified functionality/reports.
  • Assist in the management and development of new reports and/or enhancements to existing reports.
  • Identify and resolve application errors and security flaws.
  • Lead UAT for Accounting team, and other tasks as required to complete assigned projects.
  • Build/edit/maintain data mapping to support electronic data exchange between ERP and external partner systems via EDI, flat file and others.
  • Evaluate, respond, and troubleshoot issues with the ERP application and related systems and reports in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to create a collaborative environment and drive change.
  • Other tasks as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Resource has deep experience/knowledge of accounting processes (business and analytical knowledge).
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge across various financial areas and business processes.
  • Ability to learn business processes and apply that knowledge to system design/configuration.
  • Ability to streamline and integrate processes across financial systems.
  • Performed and documented system configurations and setups.
  • Research and documents transaction flow both inside and outside of ERP systems using various tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in balancing multiple priorities with stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be strategic while also willing to dig into the details and deliver on tactical plans.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytic skills with the ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong work ethic and make-it happen and can-do attitude.

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

  • 5+ years relevant experience working ERP systems.
  • MS Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 F&O required, including configuring modules/features and proving user support
  • Experience with ERP implementations
  • Proficient at writing and understanding complex SQL queries used for extracting large datasets
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Informatics, Data Science or related field preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and Project.

  • Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
  • Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic).
